According to the “Focus Québec 2025” survey conducted by the firm KPMG, nearly 62% of companies in the aerospace sector have collaborated with other companies to meet challenges related to “labour, supply, transportation, distribution, technology, and more.

“It is important to rely on our strengths in research and innovation, as well as to encourage our entrepreneurs to collaborate and exchange, to stand out on national and international markets”, declared the Minister of Economy and Innovation, Pierre Fitzgibbon.

Since the labor shortage is a major problem in all sectors of the economy, aerospace companies are no exception, while 86% of them consider it a major obstacle to repatriating their operations locally.

We also see that companies are increasingly favoring sustainable development strategies and solid supply chains that ensure their growth and prosperity.

“Focus Québec 2025 demonstrates to what extent Québec entrepreneurs are ready to think big, both from an organizational and operational point of view. Quebec companies, regardless of their size, are essential to the growth of the province and we believe it is essential to support them in the face of these essential issues,” said Benoit Lacoste Bienvenu, Regional Managing Partner at KPMG in Quebec.

The probe was carried out from September 29 to November 1, 2021 among 767 Quebec companies of various sizes and sectors.
