LaMar’s Donuts Celebrates National Donut Day 2024
DENVER, CO / ACCESSWIRE / May 31, 2024 / LaMar’s Donuts & Coffee is gearing up for an exciting celebration of National Donut Day on Friday, June 7. As part of the festivities, every visitor to a LaMar’s Donuts store will receive a complimentary Ray’s Original Glazed Donut. In addition, LaMar’s will be hosting pop-up donut shops at various locations in Colorado, Missouri, and Kansas.
The highlight of this year’s National Donut Day celebration is LaMar’s ambitious attempt to set a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™️ title for the largest donation of doughnuts in one hour. This record-breaking event is set to take place on June 7 at The Salvation Army Distribution Center.
National Donut Day has a rich history dating back more than seven decades. Originally established in 1938 by The Salvation Army as a way to raise funds for those affected by the Great Depression, the day also pays tribute to the “Lassies” of World War I who provided donuts to soldiers on the front lines in France.
For the past 14 years, LaMar’s Donuts has partnered with The Salvation Army to host an annual fundraising drive for National Donut Day. This year, the collaboration aims to distribute donuts to communities and engage customers in the celebration at each LaMar’s location. Salvation Army Bell Ringers will be present at select locations to encourage donations, and patrons can also contribute online at https://salarmy.us/dd22im.
On June 7, customers are invited to visit any LaMar’s Donuts & Coffee location to receive a free Ray’s Original Glazed Donut.
