Humans aren’t the only ones looking for love this month.
Cats and dogs at the Willamette Humane Society in Salem are hoping to find loving companions or families before Valentine’s Day and the shelter will help in their quest by waiving adoption fees Saturday and Sunday.
Cat Adoption Team in Sherwood is wrapping up it’s “Give Love” adoption promotion where select senior and special needs cats can be adopted for $14 through Valentine’s Day. Vet staff will be available to consult with potential adopters about each cat’s needs.
Willamette Humane Society’s weekend-long event also will include raffle prizes and giveaways, pet food and treat samples from NutriSource and free workshops for pet owners about integrating a new pet into the household and disaster preparedness plans for pets. The shelter will be open from noon to 6 p.m. both days.
Cat Adoption Team’s shelter is open noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. It is closed Monday.
