NICK CORDERO – Broadway actor and New York, a special unit has died of the coronavirus at the age of 41. It had been several months that he was hospitalized.
[updated June 6, 2020 at 11h49] Nick Cordero died at the age of 41 on Sunday, July 5, announced his wife, Amanda Kloots-Larsen, on the social networks : “My dear husband died this morning, she wrote on Instagram. I don’t believe in it and suffers. My heart is broken because I can’t imagine our life without him”. The Broadway actor, also seen in New York : special Unit has died of the coronavirus.
It had been several months that Nick Cordero was fighting against the disease, which he had contracted in march. During these three months of hospitalization, he was placed on an artificial respirator and had undergone an amputation of the leg, due to blood clotting problems. His health problems did not stop there, as Nick Cordero had two heart attacks. He leaves behind a young son, Elvis, was born a year ago his marriage with Amanda Kloots-Larsen. The couple was united in 2017.
Her career on Broadway
Nick Cordero is little known in France, having made a career in the United States. It’s a Broadway star, that the Americans were able to see in the musical comedy Bullets over Broadway, which earned him a nomination for the Tony Awards and an Outer Critics Circle Award and a Theater World Award. He also sang and danced in Waitress but also A Bronx Tale, where he played on the Sony. This role earned him a nomination for a Drama Desk Award in 2017.

The canadian actor has also made a small career on the big and small screen : in France, it is mostly known for her appearances in New York, a special unit, in which he played Anthony Marino and Robby Marino in 2015 and 2019, the time of two episodes. He also appeared in a few episodes of the police series Blue Bloods, in the role of Victor Lugo. In film, he appeared in american comedy Was Stand-Up Guy (2016), but also dramas, Mob Town (2019) and Inside Game (2019).
