The iconic New York designer is kicking off New York Fashion Week by going West — Venice Beach, Calif., specifically — to debut his second collaboration, TommyXGigi, with supermodel Gigi Hadid. The line, along with the rest of the current season runway looks, will be available for purchase immediately after the show.

After last season’s Roosevelt Island debacle (the show started several hours late, models fainted, need we go on?), all eyes are on Ye to see if he’ll play nice this time around and stick to his scheduled slot on Feb. 15 at Pier 59. He courted controversy earlier this month by reportedly scheduling his show for the same time as Marchesa before switching his to 3 p.m.

Both collections are being unveiled at a 2-for-1 runway event at Skylight Clarkson Square. It’s an unusual move for a storied house like Oscar de la Renta, but newly appointed co-creative directors Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia — who double as industry darlings for their newer, highly coveted label Monse (Ruth Negga is a fan) — are calling the shots. Both used to design under de la Renta before launching Monse, so this double-dose of fashion is going to be a win-win.

Speaking of Oscar de la Renta and Monse: Buenos Aires-born designer Amanda Mehl, who infuses her designs with shower mats and duct tape material, is staging her fashion show, Mehl, inside a school bus outside Skylight Clarkson Square to coincide with Oscar de la Renta and Monse’s time slot. Her invite promises an “alternative, disruptive, magical” experience.

The retailer will unveil 30 spring looks to its customers immediately after they debut at the brand’s Friday runway show at its Fifth Avenue flagship. It’s a first for Club Monaco, as is extending invites to new and loyal customers.
Raf Simons makes his womenswear debut. The Belgian designer abruptly left his coveted post at Christian Dior in fall 2015, leaving the industry wondering where he would go next. With his recent appointment as the chief creative officer of all-American brand Calvin Klein, he’s set to debut the label’s first-ever combined men’s and women’s ready-to-wear show on Friday morning.

The Council of Fashion Designers (CFDA) is supporting Planned Parenthood with an initiative called Fashion Stands with Planned Parenthood. More than 40 labels are participating, including iconic names such as Tracy Reese, Diane von Furstenberg and Carolina Herrera. Expect a display of bright pink pins — whether on the designers’ own outfits when they take their finale bow, styled on models’ runway looks or placed in showgoers’ seats.

Tapped as the face for luxe Italian lingerie line La Perla, Jenner has been flaunting the brand’s racy threads both on her Instagram account and on the red carpet (she recently wore one of their naked dresses to Harper Bazaar’s celebration of the 150 Most Fashionable Women). It’s no surprise, then, that Jenner is confirmed to walk the runway show Thursday evening alongside fellow supe Isabeli Fontana. To get the full Jenner Fashion Week experience, pop by little sister Kylie’s Cosmetics Shop opening Monday at 27 Mercer St., and hawking those all-too coveted lip kits.

Former club kid/Heatherette co-founder/Pat Field protégé is staging his return to NYFW Thursday night at Madison Square Garden under the label “RICH by Richie Rich.” The theme? Propaganda. With an invite including slogans such as, “This Is What Democracy Looks Like” and “Free To Be Me,” there’s sure be one helluva turnout.

The cool kids never did accept the death of the downtown nightlife mainstay and its wildly infamous “Smiths/Morrissey Night” parties. Props to Cynthia Rowley for hosting her presentation/party at the beloved venue’s reincarnation, “Paul’s Casablanca,” on the very day during NYFW that those sacred Sway parties were held. Her intentions may not have been to rile up nostalgia-philes — but who’s gonna turn down a chance shake it at Paul Sevigny’s latest labor of boozy-fueled love?
