Flurry-filled Februaries are the norm for some states, but it’s already tubing time in Texas.

Tubing season doesn’t officially commence until Memorial Day, which is May 29 this year, but people are already taking advantage of the 88 degree weather.
Saturday, ahead of the Sunday tornadoes, tubers pressed fast forward on the rest of winter and spring and cannon balled into the dog days of summer, as seen in a video posted by the Comal River Happenings Facebook page.
Another beautiful Saturday on The Comal – this weather, though!!!!
The clip shows small groups linked up for a float and others kayaking the waterway.

A few hundred people dove into the Facebook post to gather their tubing teams, but not many were surprised by the early start. Considering it was hot enough to wear shorts on Christmas, many Central Texans have already moved into summer mode.
With a high of 70 degrees this Saturday, the floating frivolity may be here to stay.
