If you feel the need to celebrate Groundhog Day not by checking out what Punxsutawney Phil had to say, or even what the hedgehog at the Oregon Zoo says about what’s up with the weather, but by watching the classic movie, you’re in luck.

In the spirit of “Groundhog Day,” the 1993 movie in which Bill Murray plays a weatherman forced to cover the annual Punxsutawney Phil extravaganza in Pennsylvania, AMC is airing a marathon all day today.

Because, you know, in the movie Murray’s character keeps reliving Groundhog Day, over and over and over again, waking up to the same radio station playing the same Sonny and Cher song, “I Got You Babe,” over and over and over again.

Whether you love “Groundhog Day” as a clever comedy, or ponder the existential issues it raises, you have multiple opportunities to watch Murray, Andie MacDowell, and the rest of the gang, thanks to AMC.

Here’s a link to the AMC schedule for today, featuring “Groundhog Day” ALL DAY LONG.

Oh, by the way, Punxsutawney Phil did see his shadow this morning, and that means six more weeks of winter. Because everyone knows groundhogs are expert predictors of weather.

And this just in: The Oregonian/OregonLive’s Kale Williams reports that Fufu the Oregon Zoo hedgehog failed to see her shadow this morning, which means spring is on the way for us in the Northwest.

Confused? Just relax, and watch “Groundhog Day.” Again. And maybe again.
