The choreographer, author, and filmmaker Lydia Chagoll has made his last breath on 23 June last to Overijse at the age of 89 years. His death was not announced until Wednesday, thus respecting his last wishes, who wanted his death not be made public until a few days after his cremation, and only by the press agency Belga. She died a natural death.
Lydia Chagoll, who was born Lydia Aldewereld in 1931 in the netherlands, in Voorburg, was the daughter of a journalist and anti-fascist. She grew up in a jewish family that moved to Brussels fast enough. The family then fled nazi Germany and settled, after a long wandering, in the east Indies, which have in turn been invaded by the army of the japanese emperor Hirohito.
