MADRID, 21 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Línea Directa Aseguradora entered losses in the first quarter of 2023 with a negative net result of 5.3 million euros, compared to profits of 24 million that it recorded in the same period of the previous year, as reported by the company this Friday.

“Market and sectoral conditions, affected by cost inflation and the rise in claims frequency compared to an atypical first quarter of 2022, are having a negative effect on margins in the insurance sector, especially notable in the Automobile line” , has explained the firm.

The group’s turnover in terms of net reinsurance premiums reached 228.7 million in the period from January to March, which is why it rose 4.6% compared to the first quarter of 2022.
