Heathrow Airport in London, England, had to deal with a malfunction in its baggage system, leaving hundreds of travelers without suitcases on Saturday.

The wave of suitcases laid out Friday in an airport terminal is impressive. The staff had to take care of it themselves.

Faced with this situation, some passengers had to board their plane without their suitcases, while others experienced check-in delays that could reach up to two hours, reported the BBC.

An airport spokeswoman apologized for the chaos created.

“Earlier today there was a technical issue with the Terminal 2 baggage system which has now been resolved,” she told the outlet.

“We are working closely with airlines to reunite passengers with their luggage as soon as possible. We are sorry that the passenger journey has been disrupted,” she added.
