A body was found in a residence that was engulfed in flames overnight from Friday to Saturday in a duplex on Saint-Martin Avenue, in Louiseville, Mauricie.

Firefighters were mobilized to the scene around 10 p.m. to try to control the blaze, which had also spread to the adjacent duplex, said Sûreté du Québec (SQ) spokesperson Stéphane Tremblay.
The body was later found in the rubble.
The investigation was transferred to the major crimes division of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) and a fire scene technician to try to determine the still unknown cause of the fire.
There were no power outages in the area.
The building is a total loss, it was said.
