MADRID, 28 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Mapfre obtained a net profit of 127.6 million euros, 17.4% less than in the first quarter of 2022, due to the impact of the earthquake in Turkey, with an estimated net cost of 77 million euros, as well as the car “complicated” environment.

Revenues increased by 21%, to 9,121 million euros, which reflects both a significant increase in business volumes and an improvement in financial income, as reported by the insurance group in the information it sent this Friday to the National Stock Market Commission (CNMV).

Premiums rose 19%, with no significant impact from exchange rates. At constant rates, premiums rose 18%. This growth reflects a general improvement in the business, with increases of 10.3% in the non-life business and 59.5% in the life business, mainly as a result of the performance of Spain and Brazil.
