MADRID, 8 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Treezor, a subsidiary of the Société Générale Group, and Mastercard announced this Tuesday an extension of their association with the aim of promoting Treezor as a payment leader in Europe.
This agreement reinforces a collaboration that has lasted five years and confirms the determination of Société Générale and Mastercard to support the large-scale growth already underway of the European leader in Banking as a Service (BaaS).
As an authorized issuer of Mastercard, Treezor has added disruptive new fintechs to its client portfolio and both have contributed to the development of highly successful new players such as Swile, Lydia, Qonto, Shine and Pixpay.
As part of the agreement, Mastercard has made an investment in Treezor for which it will obtain additional support from the local Mastercard teams in areas such as the improvement of services, means of communication or the ‘multi-rail’ payment infrastructure.
Mastercard’s technology, expertise, local teams and fintech support programs will accelerate Treezor’s European development in Spain, Germany, Italy and Benelux.
As a preferred BaaS partner, Treezor will have priority access to new Mastercard products such as credit services, open banking and carbon footprint, as well as a fully digital experience card program, ‘Mastercard Digital First’.
