Obstructions are underway in the Greater Montreal highway network overnight from Thursday to Friday, while in Laval several streets will be closed Sunday morning due to the Firefighters’ Race.
The Louis-Hyppolite-La Fontaine bridge is closed in the direction of Longueuil from Thursday 11 p.m. to Friday 5 a.m., while in the north direction, the closure of 2 lanes out of 3 is planned.
The Papineau-Leblanc Bridge will remain partially closed until Friday at 5 a.m. in both directions, according to the Ministry of Transport.
Highways 10 and 13 are also affected by obstructions at exits 2 and 4 and exit 8 respectively.
The closure is in effect on the A-20 in both directions as of 9:30 p.m. between the Saint-Pierre interchange and 1st Avenue.
Highway 40 eastbound has been closed at night since 9 p.m. Thursday between exit 65 and the Sainte-Croix Avenue entrance, while westbound the closure concerns exit 62.
In Boucherville, the Jean-Lesage highway is closed westbound at the entrance to boulevard de Mortagne and westbound at boulevard de Montarville.
In Laval, obstacles are to be expected for Sunday due to the Firefighters’ Race, when parking will be prohibited on several streets, from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“The City therefore invites motorists, cyclists and pedestrians to collaborate, who will have to plan their trips to avoid any inconvenience,” indicated the City of Laval.
