A South Jersey man was arrested after police in Delaware allegedly found him with 99 cartons of untaxed cigarettes, according to a report

Edwin T. Schley, 57, of Camden also had $4,000 in cash in his car after being pulled over allegedly for speeding on South DuPont Highway in Harrington just after 3 p.m. Tuesday, FirstStateUpdate.com said.

Schley was charged with attempt to evade or defeat tax and possession of untaxed tobacco products. He also got a ticket for speeding. 

Delaware law allows smokers to bring up to nine packs of cigarettes into the state without requiring them to be taxed, according to state law. 

Schley was released on a $551 bond.
