NEW YORK — A 24-year-old Central Jersey woman nearly died of a drug overdose as her infant cried in the back seat of a car Saturday night, according to a report.

Kateyln Cox was found unconscious behind the wheel of a running Hyundai Sonata in front of a strip mall on the 1300 block of Arthur Kill Road in Staten Island, N.Y. about 8 p.m., SILive.com reported.

Cox regained consciousness after EMS workers gave her naloxone, an anti-overdose spray. She and the 3-month-old boy were brought to a local hospital

Cox is from Sayreville, according to NYDaily.News.com.

Cox was charged with acting in a manner injurious to a child, operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs, reckless endangerment and refusal to take a breath test.
