Oceania Cruises’ Marina Returns to Service with Exciting New Additions
Oceania Cruises has recently announced the return of its 1,250-guest ship, Marina, after an extensive refurbishment. The ship now boasts a range of new features and dining venues that are sure to delight passengers.
One of the highlights of Marina’s refurbishment is the addition of three new culinary venues. Aquamar Kitchen, the new signature restaurant for Oceania Cruises, offers a unique dining experience with a focus on fresh and flavorful dishes. Guests can enjoy a variety of options from smoothies and cold-pressed juices to avocado toast and globally inspired salads. Non-alcoholic wines and mocktails made with Lyre’s non-alcoholic spirits are also available.
In addition to Aquamar Kitchen, Marina now features an all-day ice cream parlour on the pool deck, offering delicious flavors from Humphry Slocombe, as well as milkshakes and smoothies. The ship’s Waves Grill has been transformed into a Pizzeria in the evenings, serving freshly made pizza, salads, rosemary focaccia, and desserts.
The 124 Penthouse Suites onboard Marina have been completely redesigned, with custom-crafted furniture, new closets and cabinetry, updated carpets, upholstery, and lighting. The suites also now offer more outlets and USB ports, along with restyled bathrooms featuring Italian marble and oversized showers.
Public spaces such as Martinis, Horizons, The Grand Dining Room, and Library have also been updated with new carpets and refreshed upholstery. Polo Grill has received a refresh with new carpeting, window treatments, and pillowed-leather dining chairs.
Frank A. Del Rio, president of Oceania Cruises, expressed excitement about the new additions, stating, “The addition of these three relaxed, yet refined, eateries to Marina is the perfect way to spotlight that The Finest Cuisine at Sea does not always mean a white linen tablecloth and starched napkins at one of our award-winning specialty restaurants.”
With the return of Marina, Oceania Cruises has also introduced new executive culinary directors, Chefs Alexis Quaretti and Eric Barale, who are reviewing menus across all ships. Quaretti shared, “The introduction of these three wonderful culinary venues on board Marina is just the start of an exciting new taste journey for Oceania Cruises. Eric and I are looking at every menu and every dish we serve, as you’ll see with the return of Marina.”
Overall, the refurbished Marina promises an exceptional culinary experience for guests, setting the stage for more exciting updates across Oceania Cruises’ fleet in the future.
