An overturned dump truck is slowing traffic on Interstate 78 in Newark.
NEWARK — An overturned dump truck on Interstate 78 is causing heavy delays around Newark.
The truck overturned in the eastbound express lanes and spilled debris near Elizabeth Avenue (exit 56), according to 511nj.org, the department of transportation’s traffic website.
Traffic is also moving slowly in the local lanes and there is some westbound rubbernecking.
Delays are about 20-25 minutes as of 9:30 a.m.
State Police didn’t immediately return a call seeking additional information.
