MADRID, 28 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The online bank N26 has announced today the appointment of Pablo Reboiro as general director for Spain and Portugal, replacing Marta Echarri, who held the position between 2021 and 2023.

Reboiro, until now global head of Strategy, will direct the course of the entity in the Spanish market, focusing on the growth of the client base through a local product offer.

The entity affirms that this appointment guarantees the continuity of the N26 project in Spain, one of its four key markets and in which it has 950,000 customers and more than 300 employees.

As a member of the team in charge of launching N26 in the Spanish market in 2018, Reboiro led the opening of the bank branch in Spain, the launch of accounts with Spanish IBANs, the establishment of the company’s technology hub in Barcelona and began the process for the incorporation of Bizum, among other milestones.

Reboiro replaces Marta Echarri, who between 2021 and 2023 played a fundamental role in positioning N26 as one of the leading online banks in Spain. Since Echarri’s departure in February 2023, Reboiro has served as interim CEO.

The new head of the Spanish market has developed an important part of his professional career at N26. In 2018 he joined as Head of Strategy for Spain and in 2020 he was promoted to Global Head of Strategy. He previously worked at Accenture, the firm where he began his professional career and in which he worked as a strategic consultant specializing in innovation in the banking sector for five years.
