Palmer Township supervisor Ann-Marie Panella announced she will run for re-election this year.

She moved to the township in 1986.

“I will never stop standing up for the residents,” she said in a news release. “I have spent my life as an advocate for those who need someone to speak for them.”

According to her news release, she is the administrator at Lehigh Valley Adult Services in Palmer Township.

She has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from St. John’s University and a master’s in counseling from Long Island University.

She’s a member of the Kiwanis Club of Palmer, an annual speaker at the Brown & Lynch American Legion Memorial Day Service and former member of the board of directors for the Community Action Committee of the Lehigh Valley, the Third Street Alliance for Women and Children and Notre Dame High School in Bethlehem Township.

“My dedication to the senior citizens, the veterans, the working class and the teens and children of our community will never end,” she wrote.
