The sequence of gunshots does not seem to want to fade in the Montreal district of Rivière-des-Prairies, the scene of a new episode of gunfire, Monday evening.
Calls to 911 alerted the Montreal Police Department to shots heard around 10:15 p.m. at the intersection of rue Albertine-Morin and avenue Fernand-Forest.
When the police arrived on the scene, they found several casings on the ground, while bullet holes were located on a building housing two addresses.
No one was injured among the occupants of the residence targeted by the shots which are not known to the police, said SPVM spokesperson Raphaël Bergeron.
The scene was protected by a large security perimeter deployed by the police pending the arrival of investigators, it was added.
Surveillance cameras could be viewed to exploit the images as part of the investigation into these shots, the recurrence of which worries residents of the neighborhood.
