TRENTON — A Trenton man is facing drug and other charges after police say he tossed cocaine out his car window as he was being pulled over early Wednesday.

Street Crimes Unit detectives tried to stop a driver around 1 a.m. in the area of New York and North Olden avenues when he pulled to the curb but continued driving slowly, police said.

The man, later identified Atlasbet as 44-year-old Shawn Foster, was seen by detectives throwing cocaine from the driver’s side window, police said.

Foster eventually came to a stop and was arrested.

Police recovered 6 grams of cocaine, a gram of marijuana and $441 in cash.

Foster was charged with multiple drug offenses, tampering with physical evidence, having a suspended driver’s license, failing to stop and careless driving.
