BAYONNE — An animal welfare group in Bergen County Thursday said a seven-month-old puppy jumped from the rooftop of a building, sustaining serious injuries.

“Lexi”, a female pit bull, was rushed to Oradell Animal Hospital after plummeting five stories. She suffered serious injuries and was having difficulty breathing, the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge said on its Facebook page Thursday night.
The group said Lexi was the “4th seriously injured dog” the group is attempting to assist this month.
