Looking crestfallen after his team’s heartbreaking loss to the Shawinigan Cataractes, the head coach and general manager of the Red Devils has cast doubt on his future.

“I will take the time to reflect, for sure. I will sit down with Jacques [Tanguay, the team president] and we will continue to reflect on that. »

A statement that may surprise, of course, since the Remparts are again likely to present a competitive team next year when several players will be back including Nathan Gaucher, James Malatesta, Evan Nause, William Rousseau and possibly Zachary Bolduc.

“I always said to myself that it is the passion that must be there. If she’s there, I’ll be there. Otherwise, well… But for now, I just want to think about my future. »

Roy subsequently refused to answer any more questions about his future with the team, preferring to give way to his team.

“I think we will keep the focus on our players. They had a great season and finished first overall. As I mentioned, they are the ones who should get the attention and not me. »
