Renfe has already received the first ten Avril trains from Talgo to offer the new high-speed services from Madrid to Galicia and Asturias, after accumulating a delay of nearly two years and being widely expected in these two regions.

This was announced by the Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente, who assured a few months ago that the first units would arrive in March, but in the end the company continued to delay the order until now.

“Renfe has already received the first ten trains of the 106 series to have the most modern fleet in Europe and offer new high-speed services to Galicia and Asturias, while allowing us to relocate material to provide better services in other territories,” he said. the minister advanced on his social networks.

The minister goes to Alcobendas (Madrid) this Thursday to close the general assembly of the UNO Logistics employer association, from where he will provide support to the sector, focusing on the Government’s aid for the decarbonization of transport.
