The number of seats increases by 40,166

Renfe offers close to 2 million AVE, Avlo, Alvia, Euromed, Intercity and Media Distancia seats for Easter, between March 31 and April 10, to cover the high demand of this holiday period.

The company has increased by 40,166 seats for these days on commercial trains on the most demanded routes, which are those that connect Madrid with Andalusia, Catalonia and the Valencian Community. Renfe establishes a total of 113 trains in double composition, which represents an increase in seats of 3.9% compared to the usual offer of these services, as announced in a press release.

Specifically, the frequencies of the AVE from Madrid to Seville and Malaga are those that concentrate the greatest number of reinforcements, with some 16,860 extra seats and 46 trains in double composition, which means an increase in the offer by 6.9%.

The days with the greatest reinforcement of places are focused on Wednesday the 5th and Saturday the 1st (with 12,431 more places in total), coinciding with the start of the holidays, and it is reinforced again on April 6, Holy Thursday. For the return operation, the company programs 11,125 extra seats on these trains.

Likewise, the railway operator will offer a total of 836,685 seats for these days between the Avant and Media Distancia services that link the entire territory.
