Russia has banned entry into its territory to 41 additional Canadian personalities, in response to sanctions announced by Ottawa against Russians to punish Moscow for its offensive in Ukraine.

This measure, which concerns “leaders of organizations supporting ultranationalist forces in Ukraine as well as senior military officials” was taken “in response to new anti-Russian sanctions, announced by Ottawa on May 8 concerning the leadership of the Russian Ministry of Defense , military leaders and representatives of the business community”, explains the Russian diplomacy in a press release.
