A septuagenarian lost his life on Saturday evening in a campsite located on rang Charlotte in Saint-Liboire, in Montérégie, after drowning in a lake.

The man was found unresponsive in the water by relatives around 8 p.m., said Sûreté du Québec (SQ) spokesman Stéphane Tremblay.

Resuscitation maneuvers were carried out, but the death of the victim was unfortunately confirmed at the hospital.
