SARATOGA SPRINGS — Saratoga Springs police made another arrest and filed additional charges against one of the defendants in the Feb. 10 drug raid on an apartment at 18 Cherry St.

On Friday, police added two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance to the charges against Savannah L. Myers, 23, of Saratoga Springs. She previously was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.

Police spokesman Lt. Robert Jillson said Myers was allegedly found with 8.4 grams of powdered cocaine that was packaged in smaller quantities for sale. She was arraigned Friday and sent to jail on $10,000 bail.

On Monday, police also made was they called the final arrest connected to last week’s early-morning raid. Charles E. Smith, 40, of Saratoga Springs was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. Police alleged that Smith’s 16-year-old son was living with him at the time his apartment was being used as an outlet for drugs. Police allegedly found 50 grams of marijuana in addition to the cocaine.

Smith was issued an appearance ticket and released. His case was referred to Saratoga County Child Protective Services.

The drug raid on 18 Cherry St. took place simultaneously with a raid on 16 Cherry St., which yielded powdered and tar heroin, 300 baggies of fentanyl worth more than $4,500 and two weapons — a 12-gauge shotgun and a modified AR-15 rifle with four empty 30-round magazines.

Jillson said the bust was significant for Saratoga Springs.
