Social Security gained an average of 72,884 affiliates between mid-February and mid-March in seasonally adjusted terms, which placed the total number of employees at 20,990,474 contributors, according to the mid-month affiliation statistics published this Tuesday by the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migrations.
In the last year (mid-March 2023 to mid-March 2024), the number of employed people has increased by 543,000 people in seasonally adjusted terms, while since the beginning of 2024, nearly 147,000 jobs have been created, “online with pre-pandemic data”, as highlighted by the Department led by Elma Saiz.
From the beginning of the pandemic until mid-March, Social Security recorded 1.63 million new affiliates.
For its part, the daily membership figure recorded as of March 15 amounts to 20,904,861 people, 226,500 more than at the end of February.
