Notre Dame of Bethlehem Elementary School joins the rest of the Diocese of Allentown and Catholic schools all over the country to celebrate the annual Catholic Schools Week.

Notre Dame kicked off their festivities last Sunday with Mass, a school open house.

Fun activities have been running throughout the week at the school, according a news release.

On Monday it was Spirit of Notre Dame Day. Students dressed down in their spirit gear. They wrote letters to their parents thanking them for sending them to Notre Dame and to parishioners and business donors for their support of their Catholic education.

Tuesday was Bus Driver Thank You. The students presented bus drivers with hot cocoa and donuts as they arrived at school.

Allentown Diocese’s interim leader is a Palmer Twp. native

Wednesday was Crazy Sock Day. Students donated money to wear crazy socks or the day. The school day ended with a “Sock Hop” in the Parish Center. Money raised during the day was donated to the St Vincent DePaul Society of Notre Dame.

Up-coming events will be Mismatch Dress Down Day on Thursday, along with a visit from Allentown fire Chief Lee Laubach and his arson-dog partner, Judge.

Friday there will be a Mass in the morning and then Muffins with Moms, and Donuts with Dads.
