MADRID, 22 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Solarpack has appointed Leo Moreno as the new CEO, while Pablo Burgos, who currently holds this position and is a co-founder of the firm, will continue to be “closely linked” to it as a non-executive member of the board of directors.

Moreno comes to Solarpack from AES, a power generation and distribution company where he has spent most of his professional career. Specifically, until now he held the position of president of AEA Clean Energy, the entity’s renewable energy division in the United States.

The until now CEO, Pablo Burgos, has assured that Solarpack is entering a new phase of growth and a professional of the stature of Moreno will provide great value. Burgos added that he considers it “a privilege” to take over from an executive with his reputation.

For his part, Leo Moreno has assured that he is “greatly excited” to join a leading independent global platform in renewable energies such as Solarpack and that his intention is to take advantage of his experience to accelerate the growth of the company and further expand its capabilities.

Since Solarpack was founded in 2005 in Getxo (Vizcaya), Pablo Burgos has been in charge of directing it on a national and international scale, currently being present in Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia and Africa. Additionally, the company has recently completed the acquisition of Solaer.
