Tuesday morning, a few hours before the start of the third-round series, the Mise-o-jeu site posted odds of 1.38 for a victory for the “Avs” in this best-of-seven-game confrontation; that of the Oilers was 2.85.

Hockey fans can also vote on the number of games needed to determine the outcome of the series. The “Colorado in 5” option is the most likely in the eyes of the platform, the odds here being 4.30. A six-game win for the best team in the West in the regular season is valued at 4.80, while a sweep could bring seven and a half times the starting bet. A seven-game Avalanche triumph is priced at 5.00.

In contrast, those betting their marbles on an Oilers final-round qualifier could pocket a fair amount if they’re right. They will earn 8.50 their initial sum if Edmonton wins in six or seven games. The “Edmonton in 5” selection could be worth 14 times the stake, while a win in four games in a row would get the bettors concerned 23 times the money at stake.
