There will be as many as 335 prospective NFL draft prospects at this year’s scouting combine in Indianapolis.
Of that group, only five percent will be products of the Big 12 conference.
According to SEC Network analyst Cole Cubelic, only 18 Big 12 players were invited to participate in the combine, which will be held from Feb. 28 to Mar. 6 in Indianapolis.
The SEC leads all conferences with 66 invitations – nearly quadrupling the Big 12 –followed by the ACC (60), Big Ten (51), Pac 12 (47) and AAC (18).
The lone Longhorn with a ticket to Indy is running back D’Onta Foreman, a consensus All-American who ran for 2,028 yards as a junior.
West Virginia leads all Big 12 teams with five combine participants, followed by Baylor and Oklahoma with three apiece.
Texas A&M will have more participants (nine) than Texas, Baylor, Texas Tech and TCU (seven) combined.
