LaMarcus Aldridge wasn’t the only player struggling through a miserable shooting night when the Spurs lost to Memphis Monday night.
Aldridge clanked through a 4-for-19 shooting effort in the 89-74 loss that was one of the worst shooting nights of his career as the Spurs struggled to their lowest scoring effort since 2011.
Memphis small forward Chandler Parsons knows the feeling — and more — after missing nine of his 10 shots in a three-point scoring effort in the Grizzlies’ win.
It continues Parsons’ miserable slump during an injury-riddled season. He’s played in just 24 games due to injuries and has shot 34.4 percent from the field and 25.8 percent from 3-point territory.
His slump has worsened in recent games as he’s shooting 25 percent in his last five games.
Still, Parsons hasn’t lost his sense of humor, at least if this tweet is any indicator.
Dear basketball,
Please go in the hoop babe.
Best,
Chandler
It’s a lot easier sending that tweet out after your team won like Parsons did, compared to Aldridge’s struggles that were exacerbated by the Spurs’ loss.
