While Spain, one of the hardest-hit countries in the world by the Covid-19, is private football since the suspension of the competitions on the 12th of march last, the return of the sport-king, scheduled for 11 June, has become for the political power, a powerful symbol of the restarting of daily life.
“The resumption of football competitions will help create a relief social in certain parts of the population who have been confronted with the hardness of the pandemic,” says AFP David Moscoso, Spanish specialist in the sociology of sport.
