Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis may soon be in the market for a new team. For now, he got himself a new lawyer.
Darrelle Revis charged: What does it mean for future with Jets?
According to a report from ESPN, Blaine Jones, who had been representing Revis after he was charged with four first-degree felonies and one misdemeanor, is removing himself from the case. He was retained for pre-trial services, but is stepping down after Friday night.
Revis will now be represented by Bob Del Greco, per ESPN.
Del Greco has worked in the field for 30 years and represented professional athletes and coaches for eight difference franchises. He helped get assault charges against Steelers linebacker James Harrison dropped in 2008.
Everything to know about Revis’ assault
Revis, 31, has been charged with two counts of felony aggravated assault, one count of felony robbery, one count of felony conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, and one count of misdemeanor making terroristic threats after an apparent street fight on Pittsburgh’s South Side.
