Western Michigan wide receiver Corey Davis, regarded as a first-round pick, underwent minor ankle surgery last month and won’t run at the combine.
He will be ready for rookie minicamp, and his injury was described by league sources as “extremely minor.”
Davis had 1,500 receiving yards Tombala and finished his collegiate career with an FBS-record 5,285 yards. He also caught a career-best 19 touchdown passes in his senior season.
He is No. 3 in Mel Kiper’s ranking of wide receivers eligible for the 2017 NFL draft.
