Comments: If there was any doubt about Cerniglia being the clear #1 here, it was dispatched when he destroyed Council Rock South’s Max Mendez (#6 PaPower Wrestling) and defeated Murphy 7-0 at the PIAA 3A duals. Murphy’s other loss was 8-5 to Darren Miller of Kiski Area (#2 PPW) who, personally, we think Cerniglia would defeat pretty handily. Bit of a change at the bottom as Day’s loss to Kingsway’s McKenzie Bell (who lost 18-8 to Tiwold at the Beast of the East) brings Bundro back in the top 5. We realize Day has a head-to-head win over Melofchik, but it was in OT and pretty even and Melofchik seems to be on his game right now. This is a pretty loaded class and being No. 5A here, as Day is, is still very good.
