The Oregon Ducks have seen their 2017 recruiting class jump from the mid-40’s to a flirtation with a top-20 class under coach Willie Taggart.
That is, if Oregon doesn’t have any major surprise flips on Signing Day.
One of the program’s biggest concerns was Rivals four-star athlete Jaylon Redd, who took January visits to Arizona State and Ole Miss.
“It’s between Ole Miss, Oregon and Arizona State,” he told Scout this weekend. “Most definitely. I’ll probably just release my decision on signing day around noon. I have a lot of thinking to do. There’s a lot on my mind right now. I just don’t know.”
However, Scout’s Greg Biggins reported those concerns can be put to rest, as Redd solidified his commitment to Oregon.

The 5-foot-9, 180-pound prospect, out of Rancho Cucamonga High School (California), is rated the nation’s No. eight athlete by Rivals.
Running back C.J. Verdell is another concern for Oregon.
The 5-foot-9, 195-pound ball-carrier, out of Mater Dei Catholic High School (Chula Vista, California), visited Nebraska in January and hosted the coaching staff on an in-home visit.
While Verdell remains committed to Oregon, he’ll be one to watch, and his National Letter of Intent will bring a sigh of relief to Oregon’s coaching staff.
