Soufiane Bouchikhi will participate in the attempt against the world record time track and field at the Memorial Van Damme in Brussels on 4 September. He announced Tuesday on Instagram. Previously, the organization had announced that Bashir Abdi and the quadruple olympic champion, the British Mo Farah attack the world record.

With Bouchikhi, a second Belgian was added to the number of participants. Bouchikhi has a personal record of 27 : 41.20 10,000 metres, one of Abdi’s 27 : 36.40. Bouchikhi joined including Farah and Abdi in their search for the world record of the Ethiopian Haile Gebrselassie, who is 21,285 km since June 27, 2007 in Ostrava (Czech Republic).
