The NBA trade line is now just two days away, on Feb 23, and the blockbuster deal that sent DeMarcus Cousins to the New Orleans Pelicans has not slowed down the rumor mill.

Here are all the latest rumors you need to know.

Carmelo to the Celtics?: With reports swirling that the Celtics could be trying to swing a deal that would land them Jimmy Butler from Chicago Bulls, the internet was buzzing on Monday night with speculation that the Celtics could be close to dealing for Carmelo Anthony.

Unless Celtics general manager Danny Ainge is running the team’s Instagram account, the follow doesn’t mean much, but it could be a sign of things to come as the Knicks have been trying hard to trade Anthony.

Derrick Rose to Minnesota?: In addition to Anthony, the Knicks have also received calls about point guard Derrick Rose, according to an ESPN report.

ESPN’s Ian Begley writes:

The Minnesota Timberwolves have reached out to the Knicks recently to discuss potential trades for New York point guard Derrick Rose, sources told ESPN. Rose, a free agent this summer, played for seven seasons under current Timberwolves and ex-Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau. It is unclear what Minnesota would offer in a potential trade for Rose.

Rose, in his first season with the Knicks, is averaging 17.7 points and 4.5 assists.

Okafor latest: The Sixers might be stuck with center Jahlil Okafor after the trade deadline, but if they are, it won’t be because they didn’t try to move on from him.

ESPN’s Zach Lowe writes:

As David Aldridge reported over the weekend, Portland and Philly were very close to a Jahlil Okafor deal, according to several league sources. The Sixers did not hold Okafor out for two games just to drum up the price, though they certainly had that in mind as a possible ripple effect. It wasn’t just a smokescreen.

Okafor is averaging 11.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.1 blocks this season in 23 minutes a game. The Sixers have been trying to trade Okafor for weeks, as they have three centers on the roster — Okafor, Joel Embiid and Nerlens Noel — but can’t play them all.
