More to know: The Devils are coming off a 4-3 overtime loss to the Calgary Flames on Friday night at the Prudential Center, while the Blue Jackets are also coming off a 4-3 overtime loss on Friday, when they fell to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Devils and Blue Jackets are meeting for the first time this season, and they will play four times before the end of the season. The Devils went 1-4-0 against the Blue Jackets last season, including two road losses.

With two games before their bye week begins, Devils forward Kyle Palmieri said the team must be able to quickly reset for Saturday.

“We go in there, it’s a tough place to play,” Palmieri said. “We’ve got to hear that cannon every time.”

Palmieri and Adam Henrique entered Friday’s game tied for the team lead in goals with 13 apiece, and both scored to move to 14 goals. They finished tied for the team lead last season with 30 goals each.
