Northwestern freshman Isiah Brown leads the Wildcats with eighth points off the bench. The Wildcats are shooting 9-for-28 from the field, including 2-for-12 from behind the 3-point line. Pardon has six points and four rebounds for Northwestern.

Melo Trimble leads the Terrapins with 13 points.

Northwestern hasn’t defeated ranked opponents in back-to-back games since 2009, when the Wildcats topped Minnesota and Michigan State in January. They defeated then-No. 7 Wisconsin 66-59 on Sunday in Madison, Wis.

Junior guard/forward Scottie Lindsey, the team’s leading scorer, missed his fourth straight game while recovering from mono as the Wildcats (19-6, 8-4) try to match the school record for victories in a season..

Maryland (21-4, 9-3) had lost two in a row before topping Ohio State in its last game.
