New England’s Super Bowl-record comeback Sunday to beat Atlanta produced one of most dramatic NFL title games in history and turned a pair of former Oregon Ducks into two-time NFL champions in the process.

Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount and defensive back Patrick Chung, who overlapped during the Ducks’ 2008 season, each won their second Super Bowl following their 2015 title, also with New England.

Ducks alumni have now played in six consecutive Super Bowls and won 35 rings in 66 total appearances.

Blount finished with 31 rushing yards on 11 attempts while Chung had five total tackles (four solo) and two passes defended.

The Patriots overcame a 25-point deficit Sunday in Houston to beat the Falcons. The previous record for largest deficit overcome in a Super Bowl had been 10 points. Blount played a role in the early hole after he lost a fumble in the second quarter, which Atlanta turned into a touchdown to take a 7-0 lead.

Things turned out OK in the end for Blount and the Patriots, of course.

Just asked LeGarrette Blount why Tom Brady is the best ever. He’s in disbelief still. pic.twitter.com/HsjdLlBIQi
