The Patriots’ stunning comeback in Super Bowl LI didn’t just reward New England with its fifth Vince Lombardi Trophy in the Bill Belichick-Tom Brady era. The win scored one Twitter user a date with the No. 47 women’s tennis player in the world, Canadian Eugenie Bouchard.

The fan, writing from a Twitter account that portrays himself as a big Tiger Woods fan, commented on a tweet posted by the 22-year-old stunner on Sunday afternoon, an hour and a half before kickoff in Houston, boldly asking her on a date and making it conditional on a Patriots’ victory. At the time, the Patriots were sitting in a 21-3 hole with a Super Bowl comeback looking less likely as halftime approached.

Bouchard quickly gave her admirer the thumbs up, replying “Sure.”

@geniebouchard if patriots win we go on a date?

Hours later, after the Patriots sealed the win on James White’s 2-yard touchdown run in overtime, Bouchard took the next step in the planning, asking the fan where he lived and perhaps turning his far-fetched dream into reality.

So…where do you live? https://t.co/mfucQ0C9VL
