The Colorado Rockies have signed outfielder Domonic Brown to a minor-league contract, a person familiar with the signing said Tuesday.
The deal does not include a major-league invite.
Brown is a career .246 hitter with 54 home runs and 229 RBIs in six seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies. His best year came in 2013 when he Retrobet hit .272 with 27 home runs and 83 RBIs and made the NL all-star team.
The 29-year-old left-handed hitting outfielder has not appeared in the majors since 2015. He spent last season in Triple-A with Buffalo of the International League, where he hit .239 with seven home runs and 41 RBIs in 126 games.
