If Seton Hall wants to make the Big Dance, it better start dancing.
The Pirates are in danger of falling off the bubble after losing to St. John’s last Saturday for its seventh Big East loss of the season. But luckily for the Pirates, a chance at a marquee victory comes along on Wednesday.
We’ll have up-to-the-minute scoring and statistics here throughout the game, so come back frequently. Check the scoreboard above and click on the stats link.
No. 20 Creighton is coming to Newark to face Seton Hall, providing the Pirates an opportunity to start making up some ground in Big East play while taking down a ranked opponent. Creighton was ranked No. 10 when it took out Seton Hall, 89-75, back on Dec. 28. Since then, star point guard Maurice Watson has gone out for the year with a torn ACL and shaken up the Big East as a whole.
N.J. schools thinking March Madness
The NCAA Tournament field will be unveiled one month from today, and several New Jersey teams stand in good position to earn bids.
Seton Hall could be down a player of its own, as defensive stalwart Ismael Sanogo is dealing with an ankle injury and will reportedly be a game-time decision. The Pirates will be in dire need of all the help they can get from their forward.
