T2 midfielder Andre Lewis has been named to the Jamaica National Team for a friendly against Honduras on Thursday, February 16.
PORTLAND, Ore. – T2 midfielder Andre Lewis has been named to the Jamaica Men’s National Team roster for the team’s upcoming international friendly against Honduras, it was announced today.
Lewis, 22, will join the Reggae Boyz for their match against Honduras on Thursday, Feb. 16, at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston, Texas, beginning at 5:30 p.m. (Pacific). Following Jamaica’s match against Honduras, the midfielder will return to Portland to resume preseason training.
This marks Lewis’ second call-up with the Jamaican national team, and first since 2012. The Spanish Town, Jamaica, native previously represented Jamaica at the U-17, U-20 and U-23 levels. Overall, Lewis has made 14 international appearances at the youth levels, recording two goals.
During the 2016 regular season with T2, Lewis played in 24 matches (24 starts), tallying one goal and one assist.
