6:30 p.m.: Joe Buck and Troy Aikman have the call, with Erin Andrews and Chris Myers reporting from the sidelines. The viewership record to beat is 114.4 million, set in 2015.

First-quarter commercials

Avocados from Mexico: An impassioned plea for the “good fat” of avocados, this spot features a secret-society theme and a “Deflategate” gag.

Ford: The auto giant will air an ad after the coin toss and before kickoff that’s a change of pace: a look at bike-sharing programs and the company’s self-driving cars.

Honda: Steve Carell, a mustache, a yearbook spread and the power of dreams appear in a teaser the company has already released for its ad, as “The 40-Year-Old Virgin” star makes his pitch as a car salesman.

T-Mobile: Suited-up Justin Bieber, Rob Gronkowski and Terrell Owens star in a spot that explains the history and significance of the touchdown dance, complete with groovin’ cavemen.

Wonderful Pistachios: This otherwise mysterious ad features Ernie the Elephant, a CGI character voiced by John Cena.

Second quarter

84 Lumber: The little-known construction-supplies company is making a big buy — 90 seconds — in the lead-up to halftime. Reportedly, its first advertisement was rejected for featuring a “border” theme.

Buick: Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton crashes a kiddie football game; keep an eye out for a cameo from supermodel Miranda Kerr at the end.

Sprint: In this funny-sad spot, a car crashes off a cliff as a man tries to fake his own death to avoid getting out of a cellphone contract.

Squarespace: John Malkovich stars in a 30-second spot for the Web site design company, urging viewers to get their domains before they’re gone. With the line, “Get out of my name,” the segment also has some humorous, existential undertones befitting its star.

Halftime

Around 8 p.m.: Lady Gaga headlines the Pepsi Zero Sugar Super Bowl LI Halftime Show. Her frequent duet partner Tony Bennett is recording a 10-second video to lead into the performance, during which — according to rumors — Gaga plans to sing from the retractable roof of NRG Stadium.

Third quarter

Snickers: In the first-ever live Super Bowl ad, Adam Driver will appear in what is predicted to be a Western-themed spot for the candy maker.

Kia: The economy-car manufacturer has enlisted Melissa McCarthy for its 60-second spot, a clever homage to environmental activism that features the actress attempting to save whales, trees, ice caps and rhinos, all in the name of promoting the company’s new Niro.

Fiji Water: In a sharp contrast to the plethora of beer ads that have long been Super Bowl staples, Fiji Water will air a 15-second spot touting “Earth’s finest water.”

It’s A 10 Haircare: The privately owned professional hair-care company will be the first such brand to buy a Super Bowl ad, according to AdWeek. Owner Carolyn Aronson and her husband, Jeff, the founder and former CEO of Cash4Gold, are the first couple to launch Super Bowl ads independently of each other.

Mr. Clean: One of the more sultry advertisements, this spot features the muscled, sauntering (and, yes, animated) spokesman in tight, white clothing as a woman’s household sexual fantasy. Plus, of course, a clean home.

Fourth quarter

King’s Hawaiian: The bread company offers quirky advice on where to store its rolls, with a father-son theme.

Nintendo: In its Super Bowl ad debut, Nintendo will air a spot advertising new game system Switch — and the latest incarnation of “Legend of Zelda.”

KFC: Another Super Bowl debut, the fried-chicken chain’s ad features Rob Riggle and Billy Zane as sparring Colonel Sanderses.

Mercedes-Benz: Academy Award-winning directors Joel and Ethan Coen created this minute-long homage to “Easy Rider,” complete with tattooed bikers, a bar and a jukebox blaring Steppenwolf.

Tiffany & Co.: The designer of the Super Bowl trophy will also make its first-ever foray into Super Bowl commercials with a spot that features halftime star Lady Gaga. The trophy, 22 inches high and topped with a regulation-size football in a sleek, seven-pound silver design, will be handed off to the winning team at the end of the game.

Postgame

Hyundai: Shortly after the game concludes but before the trophy ceremony, Hyundai is set to air a documentary-style ad directed by Peter Berg of “Friday Night Lights” fame, which will actually be filmed while the game is airing. (The company has also said that should the live spot get bungled, it has a backup ad to air.)

Around 10 p.m., Fox: Terry Bradshaw officiates as NFL commissioner Roger Goodell presents the Lombardi Trophy to the winning team.

Around 10:30 p.m., Fox: Series premiere of “24: Legacy,” starring Corey Hawkins, which takes over the ticking-clock franchise from Kiefer Sutherland.
